KTLA: Healthy Mom & Baby for National Nutrition Month
March is National Nutrition Month. The month was created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to place a focus on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating habits. Moms play such an important role in helping to keep themselves and their kids healthy, so that’s why I went on KTLA this morning to share some awesome products for moms and their kids. Check out what I featured below and visit the On Air page to watch the full segment.
Kabrita Goat Milk Formula
If you have a picky eater at home, Kabrita Goat Milk Formula is a great way to ensure they get the nutrients they need. It’s super gentle, naturally easy to digest and modeled after breast milk so it’s often used as a solution for little ones with sensitivities to cow’s milk, but not allergies. Kabrita is made in Holland with high quality, non-GMO ingredients and is free from antibiotics and pesticides. It’s designed to maintain comfort through feeding transitions like supplementing and weaning. Head to their website to try a full size tin for free, just pay shipping.

Lacti-Cups Essentials
Breast milk is often referred to as liquid gold and moms hate to waste even a drop of it. Thankfully we have Lacti-cups to prevent ever wasting any precious breast milk. Lacti-cups are placed under your bra instead of nursing pads to collect all the milk that leaks out between feedings and while nursing. They also create a shield of protection and help to relieve sore nipples. Lacti-cups will help you collect 4-12oz of breastmilk per day without having to pump. Simply empty the cups before nursing or pumping and make sure to transfer the milk every 3-4 hours at night to a refrigerator or freezer.

Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment
Babies are messy eaters and often times they end up with chapped or chaffed cheeks as a result of food or milk irritating their delicate skin. Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment is uniquely formulated to provide the extra gentle protection and healing for your baby’s skin needs. I still use Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment on my 3 year old’s skin to help soothe her eczema, so it’s great for babies from day one and for years to come. Aquaphor Baby is pediatrician recommended and offers a range of gentle and healing products.

KidsLuv
As much as I wish my daughter would just drink plain water, she loves juice like most kids do, but there’s a lot of sugar and very little nutritional value found in juice. That’s why I’m so glad I discovered KidsLuv. It’s the first juice-infused water that delivers 12 essential vitamins and minerals. It contains zero sugar, is vegan, non-GMO, kosher, and is gluten- and lactose-free. It’s also a more environmentally-friendly option than traditional juice boxes and it’s the first to not contain a straw. Available on Amazon and ThriveMarket.com

The vitamin includes several essential nutrients needed for mom and baby like Vitamin K2, Methylated folate, and organic ginger.
